Bruce Lee Remembered 40 Years On
A
new exhibition has opened up marking the 40th anniversary of the
death of Kung Fu master and screen legend Bruce Lee.
Entitled “Bruce Lee: Kung Fu, Art, Life” it’s a collaboration between the Hong Kong government and the Bruce Lee Foundation where between them, more than 600 Bruce Lee artefacts have been collected for display to the public. His daughter Shannon Lee officially opened the collection which she hopes “…will help show a more complete picture…a lot of people don’t see the effort that went into it (his creativity)…”. The exhibition will run for five years at the Heritage Museum in Hong Kong. |

Two Interviews And A Wedding Anniversary, Lord And Lady Freeman
It was the penultimate day in our three-week UK visit and
it just so happened to be our two year wedding anniversary. We were back at the
Rafayel Hotel in Battersea and
enjoying our full English breakfast outdoors overlooking the River Thames. All
the morning papers were talking about – the weather. Literally from the moment
we stepped off our flight from Shanghai we have had unprecedented sunshine and
hot weather throughout....Go There!

I
can never find decently priced shoes in Shanghai. You either pay over-the-extra
for handmade ones or resort to the low quality market variety. I went out of my
way to stock up on footwear in the UK. My best find was a pair of blue Venice leather shoes at an incredible
£12.49 (down from its original £40 price tag).

Noodle Factory is a new fastfood outlet
which opened up in England’s Littlehampton on the south coast bringing what
they call “fresh, authentic, healthy food” with a distinct Thai influence. My
green curry with veg (£4.50) was piping hot and bursting with zingy South East
Asian flavours. Filling and very tasty.

Since
being back in the UK and doing the tourist trail, I could not escape the slogan
“Keep Calm and…”. I simply lost count with the amount of variations I saw.
Wanting to take a bit of Britannia to the Far East, I picked up this cool
reinforced straw bag for just £2.99. That should keep me calm with the Shanghai
shoppers.

Lezil was really suffering with allergies during the UK summer. A friend
suggested trying a herbal option to combat her reactions. We tested Holland and Barrett’s 300mg capsules of
Stinging Nettle (£5.69 for 100 capsules) with effective results. Her itchy eyes
lessened and her skin refrained from flaring up. It’s also good for arthritis and
hair gloss.
